Artists - This term generally describes those who create within a context of the 'fine arts'. This includes activities such as drawing, painting, sculpture, acting, dancing, writing, filmmaking, photography, music, and other new media. Artists are people who use imagination, talent, or skill to create works that may be judged to have some aesthetic value.  Please consider joining us.


The Gallery has reopened on FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS from Noon until 3 pm.  Come see our new arrangement of art works.  Also, check out our free library of books.

Consider gathering together for a free 'virtual' drawing class offered by 'The Artists Network'. We, the members of the Lake Marion Artisans (LMA) and Art Gallery, are delighted to share information about our program with you.  Our group is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in the historic district of Summerton, South Carolina. We operate the only art gallery in Clarendon County. Our organization is committed to enriching the surrounding communities of Lake Marion through the arts.  As such, we promote and showcase everything from unique crafts to fine arts, much of which are creations of our local artisans.  This website provides news, educational information, and links to selected resources of interest to those interested in the Arts.
